Based on the corner of 5th and Read downtown Greenville, North Carolina, Backdoor skate shop started because of a line of kids skating a bump in the sidewalk next to the building. When asked where they got their skateboards, they said mail order, CCS. Backdoor skate shop was born. Since 1994 Backdoor Skateshop has been supporting the Greenville skaters and the Greenville skateboarding scene.
